For the first time ever, Dominic Roque opened up about his relationship with Bea Alonzo! It happened during his guesting on celeb couple Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos' podcast Figure It Out, who also happen to be his close friends.
During the episode, it was revealed that Gabbi, Khalil, Dominic, and Bea actually met up in Tokyo, Japan, back in Halloween 2019! It was a spontaneous trip for Bea and Dominic, and they were with Gabbi and Khalil for around two days. They had dinner and didn't realize that they had been bonding until 6:00 a.m. "Doon ang simula ng istorya ng iyong journey of love," Khalil added.
How Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque's love story started
Here's how The Tokyo trip ~came to be~: Dominic invited Bea to go on a trip to Zambales with their friends, but Bea said she was going to Japan. "Awww, sama ako," Dominic told her, and Bea said, "Tara!"
Dominic added: "Napaisip ako, 'Shet sasama ba 'ko? Sineryoso.'" Aaand...he went on the trip, and the rest is history! Here are some of their ~adorbs~ pics from 2019, which Gabbi and Dom posted last night:
Dominic, who admitted that he is usually very private about his love life, shared that he and Bea were happy with people's reactions to their relationship when they finally ~went public~ in the US. "Maraming may alam pero ito yung time na nakapag-out kami. So hindi mo na iniisip yung mga galaw mo, sasabihin mo, you can be yourself....Siguro kasi right moment." Dominic, who is now 31 years old, added: "Mas masaya...I can see our future together...Nasa tamang edad na rin siguro ako to be like this."
Apparently, he made many sacrifices in his previous relationship. "Marami din kasing tao na 'di alam kung ano yung pinagdaanan ko sa past relationship ko. Malaking blanko lang siya na iniisip ng tao wala akong karelasyon, kasi wala naman talaga silang makikita e...So [mahirap] din 'yon, ilang years din na ganun." He agreed with Gabbi when she said: "This time, pinagbigyan mo yung sarili mo na, 'Ako naman.'"
Gabbi asked him if it was all worth it, and Dominic answered: "Sobrang worth it." HELP, WE'RE DYING OF *KILIG*!
During an August 2021 interview with PEP, Bea shared that she and Dominic officially became a couple this year: "Few months lang talaga kami naging official, but we have been dating. Pero yung officially, few months ago lang."
