Here's Everything We Know About The New *Drive-In Theater* In The Philippines

'Stranded at the drive-in...branded a fool...'

For some of us, it's always been a dream to experience those drive-in theaters we always see in movieslike in Grease (1978) and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004). Amidst the coronavirus pandemic, cinemas in many parts of the world have revived drive-in theaters to comply with social distancing measures, and now it's the Philippines' turn!

On July 23, SM Pampanga announced that the mall will be opening a new "drive-in cinema" experience. Here's everything we know about it so far:

Movies will be shown from 5:30 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. For the best viewing experience, SM Pampanga recommends having only two persons per car, but four is perfectly acceptable, too.

How do drive-in theaters work?

Something you probably might not know is that drive-in theaters use FM radio frequency to deliver the movie's audio. You could use your car's radio, or, if you don't want to drain the battery, bring a portable radio. We don't know if this is how Movies At Sundown will work yet, but we're crossing our fingers that it will, for that truly *retro* feel!
