It Looks Like Ed Sheeran *Secretly* Got Married

I mean, we kind of figured, but still.

If you thought there *might* still be a chance that you and Ed Sheeran could end up together, I have some devastating news: Ed has just confirmed that he’s a married man. Rumors about his relationship status with long-term girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn, have been floating around for months now, but the release of Ed’s new album No.6 Collaborations Project just outright confirmed it.

FYI, Ed’s new album has guest appearances from just about everybody big in pop music RN: Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Bruno Mars, and Travis Scott (I seriously would love to stalk Ed’s phone contact list). In his song with Eminem and 50 Cent, “Remember the Name,” Ed hits us with the lyrics, “Watch how the lyrics in this song might get twisted / My wife wears red but looks better without the lipstick.” Excuse me, did he just say, "WIFE?!"

(Side note: will we ever get a Subtract album? No?)

In an interview with Charlamagne Tha God, Ed confirmed that yes, yes he did. “It was actually before me and Cherry got married, and I knew that we’d be married by the point that the song came out,” Ed says, discussing the songwriting process. “I was like ’cause someone’s going to hear that and be like ‘Oh they're married,’ and I didn’t know how that would be. But, obviously, it’s already come out.” THE RUMORS WERE TRUE, PEOPLE.

No.6 Collaborations Project is full shout-outs to his wife, like in the song “Cross Me,” featuring Chance The Rapper and PnB Rock (I wasn’t kidding when I said that basically everyone is in this album). Lyrics include “But you know I fuckin’ love her now / Like nobody ever could.” Aww!

With the cat officially out of the bag, I hope the news lead to some adorable wedding photos being released. Fingers crossed.
