K-beauty brand Nature Republic Philippines announced in their social media accounts on February 5 that EXO’s Manila fan meet scheduled on February 22 has been canceled.

In their post, Nature Republic Philippines said that they have been “anxiously monitoring” the situation with the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). They said that with the number of infected individuals increasing by the day and the death toll rising,  “there is no sign of slowing down with still too much uncertainty on the current and upcoming situation.”

The brand added: “All of us, both the organization and EXO-Ls [have] already given a part of us in this once-in-a-lifetime event but to disregard our own sacrifices for the better good of the majority is one of our [ways] of showing our devotion to you.”

Nature Republic Philippines first announced the EXO fan meet in January 2020, more than a month before the event. They even posted a video where EXO members Suho, Baekhyun, Chen, Chanyeol, Kai, and Sehun personally announced their visit.

However, due to the 2019-nCoV outbreak, EXO-Ls have called for the cancelation of the fan meet due to health concerns for the members and themselves.
