Hanson Brothers, Still As Hot As Ever

One of your favorite bands from the '90s is back with a brand new album--and they actually came here to promote it! See photos from the presscon.

When Hanson, the pop-rock band of brothers from Tulsa, Oklahoma, was recently in the Philippines to promote their highly-anticipated new studio record, Shout It Out, it felt like 1997 all over again--the year the trio skyrocketed to fame with their Grammy-nominated megahit "MMMBop."

The cute men (yes, they're no longer boys) recently performed in Manila and Cebu as part of their "Shout It Out" World Tour, and Cosmo met them at their press conference in Edsa Shangri-La Hotel. It's like they never went into hiatus; they're still as hot as ever and are still loved by their fans--from screaming girls who chased them for photos and autographs to the fan clubs wearing coordinated band shirts and waving "We love you!" banners.

Now all grown up, the brothers, Isaac (31), Taylor (29), and Zac (26), have proven that they've still got it--both their music and their phenomenal appeal--with this latest, most ambitious album to date. Infused with the classic sounds of '50s R&B, Shout It Out is a playful, melodic album that brings out the musical influences of the brothers, while tinged with their fresh take on modern pop and rock sounds.

A 12-track auditory treat, the album includes the groove-based "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'," the catchy and foot-pumping "Give A Little," the big band-esque "Make It Out Alive," and the vocal-driven "Me Myself And I."

This album marks the band's third release under their own label, 3CG Records (which was also behind the 2004 album Underneath and the 2007 album The Walk) and is distributed by PolyEast Records here in the Philippines. You can now buy the album at all major record outlets or download the songs at MyMusicStore Philippines.
