Heart Evangelista is known for her bold responses to bashers on social media. On June 20, 2022, a troll account tweeted, “Si @heart021485 is a gold digger is a fact.”
Heart quickly noticed the tweet and reposted it, saying, “I don’t need anyone to survive. I am a woman and a woman can be or do anything she wants if she wills it. Remember I said that .”
We can recall that in 2021, Heart Evangelista was dubbed by Harper’s Bazaar as a “real crazy rich Asian,” which the actress denied. “I'm not crazy rich. I've been working for a long time so meron din akong sarili ko,” Heart said.
In a past interview with Karen Davila, Heart also addressed speculations about spending her husband Chiz Escudero’s money. The couple cited their prenuptial agreement which mandates that they will handle their personal spending and finances separately.
“We have a prenup. What's hers is hers. What's mine is mine. Senator Miriam (Santiago) asked that we have a prenup,” Chiz said. “But when one passes, we will be inheriting from each other.”
