Jackie Forster cried tears of joy as she told her story about reuniting with son Kobe Paras
Jackie Forster lost communication with sons Kobe and André Paras for years, so she was surprised to know that Kobe asked for her number from a friend. She shared the whole reunion story during a guesting on the show Magandang Buhay. "Gusto ko maging masaya pero iniisip ko, 'Ano kayang sasabihin niya sa akin?' Baka galit siya o may pinagdadaanan? Baka may nanloloko lang sa akin?" she said.
Jackie said that hearing Kobe's voice felt like she gave birth again—like meeting her baby for the first time after carrying him for nine months in her body. She immediately booked a ticket to the US and rented a car to pick up her son from school. Seeing Kobe standing in the parking lot, she recalled that she just wanted to leave the car and run to her son. After the trip, they're now closer than ever.
"It's a new way of being a mother. I mean, na-miss ko iyong gap na iyon, iyong 12 to 15 years, so it takes a little getting used to. Dapat maniwala ka na [you're their mother] kasi totoo na ito, na okay lang to feel good about it." (ABS-CBN)
