Jameson Blake Doesn't Do Online Dating—So Why Did He Play A Guy Who Does In 'Flower Girl'?

Jameson Blake has been single for a while now—and he's in no rush to change that. At 27, the actor is holding out for a real-life connection, with dating apps firmly off the table (at least for now).
In an exclusive interview with Cosmopolitan Philippines, Jameson shares that he's more into meeting someone organically. "I'd still prefer first-hand interaction, meeting someone, or being introduced by someone," he says.
While he's open-minded about others using dating apps, he admits they’re just not for him. "I have friends who use it. But me, personally, I just wouldn't be using it," he explains.
Interestingly, this is quite the contrast from his character in the new film Flower Girl, where he stars opposite Sue Ramirez. Jameson plays Dick, one of Sue's love interests—an entirely different approach to romance onscreen.
"Without giving much revelation to it, Dick is someone Ena meets online on her journey to find true love. So... I could be the guy to be there for her," he says. The film revolves around the story of Ena (portrayed by Sue) who literally loses her vagina a.k.a. poochy, and must find true love in order to retrieve her poochy from a trans fairy's curse.
Talking about one of the film's central topics, Jameson reflects on how Flower Girl makes a case about dating and finding the right partner in relationships. "I think it talks about meeting new people," he says. "It talks about dating, loving someone, and finding the right partner. Before we meet someone or before we plan to get into something serious with someone—don't jump into things. Don't try to rush it."
Pulling from his personal experience, he shares, "I really, I really take my time when I want to get to know someone. And I would say that will benefit long-term, especially if you plan to be with someone for quite a long time. Get to know the person. Take your time," Jameson points out.
And that's also his advice to everyone out there looking for love. He says, "As we get older, we just want to be with someone that we can be with, live with, and have laughs with long-term. If you want to get into something serious, at least take your time."

Jameson Blake On Accepting His Role For 'Flower Girl'
Flower Girl has a weird story—or at least that was Jameson Blake's first impression. “Initially, I found it weird. Like, okay, what's this concept about? What is it trying to point out?" he tells Cosmo.
But as he read on, the offbeat premise began to make sense. Jameson eventually saw the film as both comedic and progressive—a refreshing shift from his usual roles. While it's not a full-on comedy, Flower Girl marks the first time he's worked on a project that leans more into humor than his previous ones.
Finding out that Sue was attached to the film made the decision an easy yes. ICYDK, the two previously starred in the hit Ang Babaeng Allergic sa WiFi, so there was already a level of comfort between them. "When they told me it was Sue, I didn't hesitate [to take the project]," he shares.
For Jameson, Flower Girl was a chance to step out of his comfort zone. The quirky, offbeat nature of the story and his character challenged him in new ways—and he welcomed it. "I tried something different, outside the box. It's not the typical story I would do or the typical character that I would play. But it turned out well. And I I even enjoyed the process," he says.

Jameson Blake's Romance
Jameson has been in the industry for quite some time now. He's appeared in numerous series and films, but when it comes to his love life, there's not much information out there. Maybe he's just good at keeping things private—or maybe he's really just focused on the grind.
But with a little (serious) research, we found that Jameson and Elisse Joson actually had some history. In a PEP.ph article published in August 2019, Jameson addressed rumors about his romantic involvement with the fellow celebrity. At the time, he was reportedly pursuing Elisse.
"We are not really rushing things. Me and Elisse, we enjoy our time together even as friends, or even for—we're, like, together. Parang ganun," he said in the report.
The same article also mentioned that Jameson had received some sort of "blessing" from Elisse's ex (and now reportedly her current partner), McCoy De Leon. He even got to meet Elisse's family. "I've met their family naman. I felt welcome naman," he said in the PEP.ph story.

At present, Jameson is reportedly not dating anyone. However, the Internet couldn't help but speculate about a possible romance (read: purely speculation) between him and Barbie Forteza, leading fans to start shipping the two. The buzz began after they were spotted together at a fun run on May 10, 2025.
Photos and videos of their interactions during the event quickly went viral, and well—everyone had total heart eyes for the pair. In a report by ABS-CBN, Jameson shared that he and Barbie are currently working together on a Netflix film (details still under wraps), and decided to join the fun run during their free time.
"Doing a movie with her was also fun. She's very professional, and we just had that talk during the shoot—kasi there was a run coming up. Kasi naging active siya sa running, so… We had a good conversation about it and I told her na, 'Let's go, let's run together.' Akala ko nakalimutan niya, and then she messaged na, 'Let's go, let's go for the run.' So ayun, we went for it, and even with the lack of preparation, it was fun. It was a good run," he told ABS-CBN.
