Jasmine Curtis-Smith recently got vaccinated and the actress shared her thoughts on getting the jab.
In an Instagram post on July 30, Jasmine shared that prior to going into quarantine for their lock-in taping, she was able to get the COVID-19 vaccine. "I have been so eager for this opportunity because I have asthma and also work in an industry that does require us to take off our masks and have face-to-face interactions. This is the extra step that I believe I can take to protect myself," Jasmine wrote.
The actress, who's currently starring alongside Alden Richards in the GMA drama The World Between Us, said in her post that a lot of people have been saying that there's too much information online and that they don't know what to believe in anymore. She added, "Nothing beats consulting the medical experts themselves, especially those that know your own medical history."
Jasmine continued, "I understand those who may have their own anxieties about taking this step but I also understand the pain of losing someone and the struggles that come along with the burdens of dealing with COVID."
The actress then urged her three million Insta followers to get vaccinated by writing, "If we can take the extra step to protect ourselves mentally, physically, and financially, why not?"
Jasmine also thanked the medical frontliners for their "endless and passionate service" as well as the LGUs who help to make the vaccines accessible. She also thanked the countries that have donated vaccines to the country.
