Sad News: Ji Chang Wook's Fan Meeting In Manila Is Postponed Due To COVID-19 Threat

As of this writing, his events in South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan have been postponed, too.

Attention, Ji Chang Wook fans! His Manila fan meeting has been postponed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), according to his agency, Glorious Entertainment. 

“The performance will be included in the Asia Fan Meeting Tour that will resume later,” they said in a statement yesterday, February 18.

His Asia tour was supposed to start in January and included stops in South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and the Philippines. Aside from the Philippine fan meet, the events in South Korea, Thailand, and Taiwan have been postponed, too, as of this writing.

The actor is known for K-dramas such as Melting Me Softly, Suspicious Partner, and The K2.

His fan meeting is the latest of celeb events in Manila to be canceled due to COVID-19 fears, including Lana Condor and Noah Centineo’s fan meet for To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before: P.S. I Still Love You and Tuesdays With Morrie author Mitch Albom’s book signing event. 

Around the world, COVID-19 has infected over 75,000 people and killed over 2,000 people, according to CNN. A vast majority of the cases are from mainland China, where the virus originated.
