Ellen Adarna Posts Proud Moment From Elias' Piano Recital With John Lloyd Cruz And Isabel Santos

In today's world, co-parenting often makes the most sense—for the parents and, above all, for the child. And that seems to be the case for John Lloyd Cruz and Ellen Adarna when it comes to their son, Elias. The ex-couple was seen together at Elias' piano recital just recently. On December 16, 2025, Ellen posted snaps of Elias having fun at his recital and some pics that also included John Lloyd and his current partner, Isabel Santos.

"Good job, Babing! ❤️ we are sooo proud of you. We love you so much! Your joy is our joy. ❤️" Ellen captioned the post. Elias was seen with the brightest smile as he stood between his parents in the photo.

Isabel was one of those who cheered for Elias as she posted a video of Elias, too. Such a proud moment for all of them!

Elias' baby sister, Lili, was, of course, present during his special day. She was all dressed up in pink and was all smiles while being carried by Ellen. 💓

Ellen and John Lloyd have long been open about their status as parents. The two broke up sometime in 2019, without publicizing the real reason. She later opened up about in a 2021 interview with Preview.ph, saying, "You know, we weren't compatible, obviously, that's why we broke up. Of course, any normal breakup hurts. You want things to work.

Despite their separation, Ellen and John Lloyd remained civil and in contact for their son. Through the years, Ellen has spoken positively about John Lloyd, who has taken a more low-key approach to showbiz since his hiatus in 2017. She's publicly defended John Lloyd as a father in past social media posts.

Back in June 2024, an online user commented on how John Lloyd should have been present during Elias' Moving Up ceremony. But Ellen clapped back, "Just because he's not in the photo doesn't mean he was not there. Wag masyadong close-minded manang."

Ellen further noted that John Lloyd has always been there to witness their son's breakthroughs. "Present father naman siya meaning present din siya sa lahat ng milestones ng anak niya," she strongly said.

Ellen reiterated this sentiment in a November 2025 IG Story. She spoke highly of John Lloyd, saying, "With JL, wala talaga akong masabi. I have nothing but good things to say about him, you know. We had differences in the past, but I respect him because he is a very good provider. He is honest, and he is a very present father."

In another IG Story posted in June 2023, Ellen also shared with the public how much John Lloyd provides for Elias. She disclosed, "When he asked me, how much does Elias need, I gave him a breakdown of his basic needs—just his basic needs—and that's P10,000 max. But he insisted on doubling it."

She added, "I know he's more than capable of giving more than that, but I told him I cannot accept anything more than PHP20,000, and that's it. I also have, because we are co-parenting. I have my obligations and responsibilities for Elias, so it's just fair."
