In the 15-minute video, Joyce and Juancho answered questions sent by their fans. One of the questions asked was how they first met. According to Juancho, he first met Joyce in April 2014. Joyce added that it was an out-of-town event for a clothing brand that she hosted and Juancho asked to take a photo with her.
The new couple finally got to cross paths again when they began working together as hosts in GMA 7’s morning show, Unang Hirit. Juancho shared, “The night before I tweeted you and I posted on Instagram that we were going to work together. Maraming thoughts na pumasok sa isip ko.”
Juancho also talked about his pangliligaw style—which was him trying to catch Joyce’s attention. He said, “Lahat ng ginagawa ko sa kanya pure effort. Papasayahin ko siya, iintindihin ko ‘yung mga needs niya over wants. During that time, I’d drive for her, fetch her, bring her food, at kilalanin ‘yung mga closest sa kanya.” Last Valentine’s Day, Juancho even orchestrated a surprise date in Sonya’s Garden in Tagaytay.
Saving the best question for last which is "Kayo na ba?" The couple was quick to respond “Yes!” but Joyce shared, “We didn’t want to make a big deal out of it.” Juancho said that while the details aren’t important for others to know, they are “very happy” and called Joyce “the best girlfriend ever.” Joyce added, “We’re very happy and we both prayed about this relationship and we keep praying about it. It’s the first time for us to be in a relationship that feels right.”
Making their relationship status Insta-official on May 26, Juancho wrote on Instagram, “Indeed, God’s timing is always perfect. I have been blessed with the opportunity of learning from you, being with you and loving you. [These] past months have been a rollercoaster ride, but I’m glad I got to ride it beside you. I love you, my girlfriend. #SinagotNiyaNaAko #Panliligaw101”
Congratulations to the happy couple!
