What is the Kim Seon Ho Smile Challenge?
But first, what is this "Kim Seon Ho Smile Challenge" we're talking about? It's that trend where people act like they're shocked, place a hand over their heart (or chest for some, haha), all while closing their eyes, and then opening one eye to the tune of Ariana Grande's "Supernatural." (It's yet another pop song making its way to a trend.)
So...why is it attributed to Kim Seon Ho and not Ariana? The act originated from the South Korean actor's scene from When Life Gives You Tangerines. Seon Ho played the role of Park Chung Seop, the husband of IU's character, Yang Geum Myeong. It was towards the end of the critically acclaimed K-drama when Park Chung Seop looked at his bride (Geum Myeong) with his hand over his heart as if he was (literally) lovestruck. Now, it's a globally loved trend.
We're not gonna lie—the Cosmo team is chronically online (like, FYP PhD level). So obviously, we had to round up all the celebs we've seen hopping on this trend. We're not saying you have to fall in love with these videos... but we are saying you should give them a chance. Because let's be real: they're here to spice up our scrolls, perhaps to serve a little serotonin, and maybe—just maybe—help us gently hijack your algorithm :)

Okay, we're not being biased here, promise. But the first celebrity that we'd like to mention is the Internet's current obsession, Emilio Daez. Emilio just got evicted from the Pinoy Big Brother house, and aside from doing his first TikTok livestreams, the Kim Seon Ho trend was something that caught his attention.
