Kisses Delavin, Ayn Bernos, and Maureen Wroblewitz are making a mark in this year's Miss Universe Philippines 2021 competition.
On August 7, Saturday, Miss Universe PH announced the three ladies among the top 15 of its "video intro challenge."
The winners of the challenge were determined based on the entry with the highest number of votes. Votes were made via the Miss Universe PH app.
Kisses, whose full name is Kirsten Danielle Delavin, is representing her province of Masbate. The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate also topped the Miss Universe PH "headshot challenge" as she received the most votes. In her video intro, she talked about studying business and her work as an actress, performer, and recording artist. She mentioned her "love for ulam" as well:
"A fun fact about me is that I am a food lover. I love rice, I love ulam, all kinds of ulam, and everything in between."
Ayn, whose full name is Rousanne Marie Bernos, is representing San Juan City. In her video intro, she talked about being a content creator, teaching English on TikTok, doing podcasts, and being the founder of skin color-positive clothing line Morena The Label. She also spoke about her adventurous side, enjoying wall climbing, and hiking.
In her video intro entry, Maureen, whose full name is Maureen Christa Wroblewitz, introduced herself as a model, host, and actress. She talked about being a "third culture kid," as she was born and raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to a German dad and a Filipina mom. Maureen used the opportunity to flaunt her special effects makeup skills and mention that she loves cats.
Only 30 candidates will take part in the Miss Universe Philippines 2021 coronation night, which will take place on September 25. The candidates will be chosen based on their performance in a series of virtual challenges.
The Miss Universe pageant will be held in Israel in December 2021.
