Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica, parents to one-year-old Alas, got married yesterday, December 11. We're just as shocked as you are because we did not see this happy event coming! The couple had a wedding that seems to give reference to Romeo + Juliet, the 1996 Baz Luhrmann film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes.
Here are all the details we loved about their wedding:
The bride's *dramatic* entrance:
Their wedding song choice:
Kylie walked down the aisle to Des'ree's "I'm Kissing You," which was also made popular by Romeo + Juliet!
Awww! The couple's emotional expressions while saying their vows:
Their ~first~ kiss as a married couple!
The fact that the wedding was planned in only two weeks.
According to their planner, La Belle Fête Weddings & Events, the wedding's concept was "ethereal, moody, and dramatic just like how they [Kylie and Aljur] wanted it to be. It also symbolizes that the most beautiful things emerge from darkness and adversities."
That Romeo + Juliet set-up. Just...wow.
It was partly styled by Gideon Hermosa, and we absolutely love everything about it! Here's a before and after look of the location, Villa Milagros in Rodriguez, Rizal:
Do all those candles, flowers, and chandeliers look familiar? The basis for the decor might just be the tragic last scene from Romeo + Juliet! Check it out below:
The Lang Leav poem that they incorporated for the venue:
Their gorgeous six-tiered cake:
All the celebs and family members who attended:
The intimate wedding actually had less than 70 guests because it was really intended for their closest family and friends.
Kylie's parents, Liezl Sicangco and Robin Padilla
Kylie's sisters, Queenie and Zherileen Padilla
Mariel Padilla and baby Maria Isabella Padilla
Aljur's brother Vin Abrenica with Sophie Albert
Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos
Mikee Quintos
Maritoni and Lexi Fernandez

Congratulations, Kylie and Aljur! We can't wait to see the wedding video next!
