Following *that* emotional video about their lasts, Elisse Joson and McCoy de Leon looked back on their past relationship in a new TV appearance for their movie, Sakaling Maging Tayo.

On Tonight With Boy Abunda, Elisse revealed that things were already rocky when they were filming the movie. “Since hindi kami tuluy-tuloy nag-shoot, it was ups and downs."

McCoy confessed that he did think about backing out while the movie was in production. “Kasi mas importante sa akin ang family,” he said. Teary-eyed and her voice breaking, Elisse said, “No matter how hard it was during filming, pilit kong pinaintindi to everyone na I had to do it because it was a blessing.”

They also took turns apologizing to each other. Elisse said sorry for being “too needy, too pushy, na you felt like you weren’t doing enough.” McCoy said, “Sorry kasi I had to—not give up but give way. Kinailangan kong gawin ‘yon para sa ikabubuti ng lahat. Sorry kung hindi na ako ang lalaking ‘yon. Maniwala ka man o hindi, sobrang binigay ko ang lahat sa’yo. I did my part naman talaga. Siguro ang timing lang natin, hindi pa talaga puwede… Salamat sa love.”

Asked if she believes in second chances, Elisse said, “Hindi siguro ngayon.” She admitted that she feels regret, of course, but that “it all happens for a reason.” She added, “Mixed emotions e. May fulfillment, may happiness din. After watching this movie, we’re going to see our family proud of us and we’re going to see each other smiling.”
