The Miss World Philippines organization is clearing the air around their reigning queen, Krishnah Gravidez—who was involved in a viral TikTok video that drew massive flak these past few days.
In a statement that the Miss World PH released through their social media pages, the organization addressed the situation that Krishnah was involved with at the moment. ICYDK, Krishnah along with other friends, including Kim Atienza's daughter, Emman Atienza.
Miss World PH argued that the viral video was uploaded without Krishnah's consent. "The video in question does not reflect Krishnah's true character or values that she upholds. What transpired was a lighthearted moment among friends, meant to be shared in private. Unfortunately, it was uploaded without her consent, leading to misunderstandings about her intentions," the statement read.
Moreover, the organization added in its statement, "As an organization, we stand by Krishnah Marie Gravidez and her continued efforts to represent the country with grace, dignity, and purpose. We ask for understanding and trust that she will continue to exemplify the values of Miss World Philippines in all her endeavors."

Krishnah Gravidez's apology
Amid the backlash, Krishnah also posted her personal statement, apologizing and owning up to the video. She clarified that although she was part of the uploaded TikTok content, she did not pay for the bill. Krishnah emphasized how she does not want to glorify an extravagant lifestyle, in contrast to what others have perceived of her because of the video.
"Please allow me to clarify that I did not pay the said amount and in no way was my participation on the video meant to promote or glorify an extravagant lifestyle. I genuinely empathize with the struggles that many Filipinos face on a daily basis, and I would never want to come across as insensitive or unaware of these harsh realities," the Miss World Philippines 2024 titleholder posted on Instagram.
The mentioned viral video showed Krishnah with a group of Internet personalities eating at a restaurant. They started playing the TikTok trend called, "Guess the Bill Challenge," wherein they will literally guess the total amount of meals they ordered. Supposedly, the person who says the farthest amount to the total bill will have to pay for everything.
In the end, it was revealed that the girls' meals summed up to more than P123,000. Some online citizens didn't take the video lightly, saying it was an insensitive video to those who couldn't afford that amount for just a meal. As of writing, their original "Guess the Bill" video has been deleted from TikTok.
