In separate instances, Nadine Lustre and Gabbi Garcia recently spoke up about using makeup as a form of self-expression and creativity. Both actresses replied to comments on Instagram.

Nadine responded to netizens who commented on her Barbie-inspired look posted by makeup artist Jelly Eugenio. Nadine initially commented, “But I never not over-line,” and netizens said she looks prettier with less or no makeup. She replied, “I understand and respect all your opinions, but it’s my body. As supporters, I really hope you respect my decisions too. TTFN.”

Earlier, Gabbi posted a sneak peek of a cover shoot with a campy theme. A netizen commented that her look is “overdone” and that makeup should enhance and not hide beauty. Gabbi replied, “Makeup is also a form of art and a way of expressing yourself. As I’ve said in my caption, the theme of my cover shoot is ‘campy.’”
