We're always on the lookout for new music from our fave Filipino artists and it seems like Valentine's season didn't disappoint. Here's a list of new tracks that were released on V-Day (or very near it) this year. Surprisingly, most of them talk about goodbyes and heartbreak!
1. "Kapit" by Armi Millare
This single from the Up Dharma Down lead vocalist is part of the soundtrack for the new Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil film Alone/Together! It was actually released on February 13, the same day the film hit cinemas.
Lyrics that'll hurt: Kaya hihigpitan ko ang yakap sa'yo/ Alam kong hindi 'to magtatagal/ Sana ako'y maalala mo na ganito
2. "Dahan" by December Avenue
Remember when OPM singer Jireh Lim released a cover of this song a few years back?
Lyrics that'll hurt: Dahan dahan mong bitawan/ Puso kong 'di makalaban/ Dahil minsan mong iniwan/ Labis na nahihirapan
3. "Mitsa (Salamat)" by Ben&Ben
Here's another song about goodbyes! A mitsa or wick is what you need for a candle to light up, right? What if the wick's gone and all used up? Stop doing this to us, Ben&Ben!
4. "Maybe A Little Bit" by Ylona Garcia
The 16-year-old singer recently collaborated with RNB artist Jay-R for this song about loving someone "a little bit too much!"
Lyrics that'll hurt: You can say what you want, but know I'm here to stay with you/ They tell you to give up, but I'm willing to change for you
5. "Maleta" Julie Anne San Jose and Gloc-9
Maleta or suitcase, something you pack when you're about to leave some place (or someone).
Lyrics that'll hurt: Ayoko na sayo, dahil lahat ng sinabi mo'y hindi totoo
