Paolo Ballesteros, actor/makeup artist/chameleon, has transformed into another pop culture icon for the awards ceremony of the 2016 Tokyo International Film Festival.
After turning heads on the red carpet last week as he channeled Angelina Jolie, Paolo stunned the crowd when he went onstage to accept his Best Actor Award for the film Die Beautiful, this time dressed as Julia Roberts.
Paolo perfected Julia’s '90s It Girl look with her big red curls and signature smile!
For his Best Actor acceptance speech, Paolo made the audience LOL with his opening statement:
“I thought today, it was just going to be a red carpet parade, which is why I wore a dress. First, I would like to thank the Tokyo International Film Festival and the members of the jury for embracing our film. I thought I was up for Best Actress.”
Paolo won Best Actor for the role of Trisha, a transgender woman, in the film Die Beautiful directed by Jun Robles Lana. The film also won the Audience Choice award. [via ABS-CBN]
