A 28-year-old physical education teacher at an exclusive school in Parañaque City has been accused of rape by one of his pupils.
The 15-year-old victim said the first incident happened back in school year 2014–2015 when she applied in a volleyball summer clinic being facilitated by the suspect, TV Patrol reported.
She said her teacher raped her after she went with him to his apartment on his request to supposedly get some volleyballs for their practice.
She was 14 years old during the first instance. The victim claimed that she was raped twice after the initial abuse occurred.
The accusations came to light after Marife, the victim’s mother, discovered the suspect’s text messages to her daughter which roused her suspicions. She then asked her daughter about the messages, and the victim admitted that she was raped.
The suspect, who was identified as 28-year-old PE teacher Kirk Patrick Ferrer, was apprehended by Parañaque City’s authorities who conducted an entrapment operation.
Ferrer, who was on video kissing the victim in a convenience store, denied the rape accusations, saying he and his student were in a legitimate relationship.
He will be charged for three counts of rape and for violating Republic Act 7610 or the Anti Child Abuse Law.
