Rumors have been circulating that Park Bo Gum will be doing his mandatory military training soon, especially after his appearance on Itaewon Class, where he sported noticeably shorter hair. The 26-year-old actor's management, Blossom Entertainment, however, has announced that the actor has not been called for military service just yet. “We have not received any enlistment notice, so far, nothing has been confirmed yet,” said his management to OSEN.
News outlet Dispatch also posted the same report and adding: “According to a report from one media outlet, Park Bo Gum is scheduled to enlist in the military this summer after filming the new movie Wonderland. Park Bo Gum is scheduled to start filming with Director, Kim Tae-yong’s new movie Wonderland in April.” But again, his management denied the enlistment rumors.
All able-bodied Korean men between the ages of 18-28 are required to undergo mandatory military service. Active duty usually lasts anywhere between 21-24 months, but also depends on different factors.
