1 Pia Wurtzbach's grand homecoming will be on January 23, Saturday! She'll finally be able to celebrate her win with all of us. 2 German Moreno, aka Kuya Germs, passed away at 3:20 a.m. on January 8—a year after he was hospitalized due to a stroke. He was 82 years old. According to his nephew Nite, the "Master Showman" and star builder "passed on in the company of his family and friends. He lived a full life, touched so many hearts through the years, and helped make dreams come true for most of the biggest stars in the Philippine entertainment industry." Kuya Germs is best known for hosting That's Entertainment, a show that discovered stars like Lea Salonga, Gladys Reyes, Judy Ann Santos, Billy Crawford, and so much more. (GMA News)

3 Erik Matti, director of the film Honor Thy Father, vows to expose the scandal that happened in the most recent Metro Manila Film Festival. He took to Facebook to seek help and support from fans; he wants them to attend the upcoming congressional hearing on January 11 about the film's disqualification for the Best Picture award. Erik claims that some of the festival's committee members had ties with producers of certain films, so these movies were getting special treatment for nominations and theater distribution. He's quick to say though that the hearing isn't about Honor Thy Father, but about "our film industry." Check out his message:

It's not a good time to be Kylie Jenner right now. Her boyfriend Tyga is being accused of trying to woo a 14-year-old model/singer behind her back. The teen, Molly O'Malia, held a press conference early this week where she accused the rapper of sending her "uncomfortable messages." Tyga is denying those claims, saying he just wanted to contact her about a job opportunity with his music label because she had a huge online following and thought she was 17. In the meantime, Kylie's lips are sealed as she spends time with sis Kendall and other friends. (Us Weekly)
