Sarah Geronimo's former bodyguard Jerry Tamara has accepted a settlement payment and will no longer file formal charges against Matteo Guidicelli.

Jerry previously claimed that on February 20, on the night of Matteo's secret wedding with Sarah, Matteo punched him in the throat. In an Instagram post, Matteo later denied that he punched anyone.

A video uploaded on broadcast journalist Raffy Tulfo's YouTube channel shows how he accompanied Jerry on February 26 to speak with Sarah's manager Vic del Rosario, who is the founder and chairman of Viva Entertainment. Sarah and Matteo were unavailable during the meeting due to work.

Jerry reportedly asked in a closed-door meeting for a settlement payment of P1.5 million, which Vic refused. A counter-offer of P100,000 was allegedly made but the former bodyguard declined. Raffy reported that what Jerry really wanted was Matteo's apology and that he was not after the settlement payment.

Two days later, Viva executive Jay Montelibano told Raffy that Jerry had accepted a P200,000 settlement payment.
