After a weekend full of Instagram stories, posts, and clothing giveaways, Selena Gomez announced she's taking another break from social media with an important message that everyone should remember when posting on any platform.
Selena updated the caption of the last picture she posted and wrote:
"Taking a social media break. Again. As much as I am grateful for the voice that social media gives each of us, I am equally grateful to be able to step back and live my life present to the moment I have been given."
Selena also put in a little reminder that negative comments hurt—no matter who they're directed at. She cautioned, "Just remember—negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings. Obvi."
Selena, who was previously insulted by Stefano Gabbana of Dolce & Gabbana on Instagram, has taken breaks from social media before. She previously told Elle, she doesn't even have the Instagram app on her phone because "it's not real." She explained that she's not hiding from anything and just wants some time to live in the moment.
"I'm not trying to hide," she said. "That's my life. I'm living it the way I want to live it. But it's about making a conscious effort—if I can have a moment to be with my friends, I'll take that time. So I don't have any of it. I had to make that decision."
Hopefully taking a break will leave her feeling refreshed and filled with ~good vibes.~
