If you thought your fave Korean idols couldn't be more perfect, then you were wrong. They've heard about the Philippine's current situation and are legit *thinking of us*! This morning, Super Junior's Siwon took to Twitter to share prayers for the country amidst the recent Taal Volcano eruption and the heavy ashfall that accompanied it.
His tweet reads: "My prayer goes out to the children and the elderly and infirm of the Philippines. I hope no one is seriously hurt from the volcanic eruptions and the earthquakes."
Siwon's most recent visit to the PH was during Super Junior's SS8 concert in December 2019.
Infinite's Kim Myung Soo (also known as L) held his Come With Me fan meet in Manila on January 12—the day of the calamity! Myung Soo posted an Instagram photo from the event and wrote in the caption: "I would like to thank all the fans who came to the fan meeting tonight. Due to the eruption of a volcano near Manila, I hope that no one will be affected by this natural calamity."
The Taal Volcano erupted on January 12 at 1:00 p.m. and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) even recorded a series of earthquakes prior to—and after—the eruption. As of the writing of this article, ashfall from the volcano has affected areas as far as northern Luzon and the volcano has reached Alert Level 4.
Please stay safe, everyone. Your idols are ~*worried*~ about you!
