Can you believe it's been nearly two years since Suzy was last seen on the small screen? Yup, it's been that long since she starred as bright-eyed tech dreamer Dal Mi in the hit 2020 K-drama Start-Up. But good news to all of us Suzy fans, 'cause she's actually made a ~comeback~ as the lead role in a brand new series!
Here are all the deets you need to know about Suzy's new drama, Anna:
What's the plot of Anna?
According to Soompi, Suzy was offered the lead role in the upcoming drama The Second Anna, which was confirmed by her agency Management SOOP.
So what's Anna all about? Well, get ready for a psychological thriller 'cause this isn't our regular 'ol rom-com. Soompi says Anna "tells the story of a woman named Anna who tries to live the life of someone else—similar to the Ripley Syndrome, which is a type of antisocial personality disorder in which the person constantly lies and believes in a fictional world that is not real." Oooh, interesting no? Fun fact: The drama was originally supposed to be a film but will instead be a TV series.
Reports have also been saying that Suzy "has faith" in the drama's director Lee Joo Young, who is also responsible for the 2017 film A Single Rider starring veteran actors Lee Byung Hun and Gong Hyo Jin!
Where can we watch Anna and how many episodes will it have?
Dubbed "the story of a woman who ends up living a completely different life due to a petty lie", Anna is an original series that first aired under the South Korean streaming service Coupang Play. As of July 8, 2022, you can now watch all six episodes exclusively on Prime Video!
