Watching Taylor Swift’s new music video, “The Man,” you might be wondering when she’ll show up. At the end of the video, it’s revealed that The Man was her all along—she used prosthetics and makeup to achieve the look!
On Instagram, the singer-songwriter said she spent four to six hours a day on the makeup chair to transform into The Man.
She achieved the look with the help of Bill Corso, a special effects makeup artist who has worked with Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool), Jim Carrey (Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events), and Arnold Schwarzenegger (Terminator: Dark Fate).
With his team, he designed and created Taylor’s prosthetics, beard, eyebrows, and wig. Swipe to see Taylor’s transformation!
Directed, written, and *owned* by Taylor, the music video is her take on the privileges of being an alpha male and on gender inequality. Dwayne Johnson voiced The Man, while TikTok star Loren Gray and Taylor’s dad, Scott Kingsley Swift, appeared in the video.
“The Man” is the first music video that Taylor directed on her own.
