Netflix's latest big hitter, Tick, Tick... BOOM! is finally out. In between crying sessions (it's an emotional one,) people are spending a lot of time on Twitter discussing how much they love the film, and there's one thing about it that fans are all agreeing on.
Just in case you've not sobbed over it yet, the biopic tells the story of a promising young theatre composer named Jon. He writes his musical theatre masterpiece while grappling with love, friendships, and the pressures of life in New York City. The film, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, is based on the stage musical of the same name by Jonathan Larson.
The long-awaited film stars Spider-Man's Andrew Garfield as Jonathan Larson, Alexandra Shipp (Love, Simon) as Susan, Vanessa Hudgens (Princess Switch) as Karessa, and Pose star Michaela Jaé (MJ) Rodriguez as Carolyn.
The film hasn't been out long but already it has gained a reputation for bringing on ugly cries from viewers, with many people taking to Twitter to discuss just how emotional the whole experience is. However, there was one other thing everyone agreed on—that star Andrew Garfield has made himself an Oscar contender with this performance.
Tick, Tick... BOOM! is out now on Netflix.
