If the surname isn't a giveaway yet, Rocio is an heiress of the well-known Zobel de Ayala clan—yup, the family behind the Ayala Corporation. According to Forbes' 2025 list of the Philippines' 50 richest, Jaime Zobel de Ayala and family ranked seventh with an estimated net worth of $3.4 billion.
Rocio's parents are Iñigo and Maricris Zobel. Iñigo, a cousin of Jaime Zobel de Ayala, currently serves as Chairman of Top Frontier Investment Holdings, Director of San Miguel Corporation, and President of the Enrique Zobel Foundation. Rocio is the youngest of Iñigo's five children.
She represented the Philippines at Le Bal des Débutantes in 2019.
Back in 2019, Rocio represented the Philippines at the prestigious Le Bal des Débutantes in Paris. For the occasion, she wore a stunning Jan Taminiau gown and was escorted by the son of former House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
ICYDK, Le Bal des Débutantes is an exclusive charity ball that gathers young women from some of the world's most prominent families. Attendance is strictly by invitation from the event's founder, making it one of society’s most coveted events. Other Filipinas who have graced the ball include Atasha Muhlach and Dominique Cojuangco.
She studied at Parsons School of Design in New York.
Although Rocio has long been part of her family's distinguished legacy, she's been carving her own path in the fashion world—and doing so through hard work and passion. The young heiress studied Fashion Design and Online Photography from 2020 to 2023 at the Parsons School of Design in New York.
According to the university’s website, tuition for undergraduate programs for the 2025–2026 academic year ranges from $20,587 (around P1.2 million) per semester to $30,120 (around P1.78 million), depending on the number of credits taken.
