OMG, Mika Salamanca Reveals What Happened When Will Ashley Courted Her Last Year

Mika Salamanca and Will Ashley have been giving fans all the feels lately. But people got a little more insight into their story after Mika revealed in her latest vlog that Will courted her last year.

In her vlog titled "24HRS JOWA CHALLENGE," uploaded on August 9, Mika looked back on the period when Will was trying to pursue her. "Nung nagte-taping kami for a serye, before, si Will, nanliligaw siya sa akin, di ba?" Mika said shyly. She then added, "Nagta-try kasi siyang manligaw."

As she recalled that chapter of their story, Mika shared one thoughtful thing that stood out to her. "So nung time na 'to, pagka nasa taping kami… sa unit ko, laging may nagpapadala ng mga fruits," she said. "Magugulat ako, galing kay Will. Lahat kami busog—lagi."

But as they wrapped up the vlog's challenge, Will shared with a laugh that Mika had rejected him, saying, "Tignan mo may end tuloy. Kung hindi mo 'ko binasted last year, eh di sana araw-araw tayong ganito."

Still, Will was clearly putting in the effort. And for him, it wasn't hard to do. All it took was to simply pay attention. "Si Mika kasi sobrang random niya. Malalaman mo talaga kung ano yung kine-crave niya kasi sasabihin talaga niya. Like, hindi direct sayo pero parang, 'Ay gusto ko nito!' ganon," he says, referring to Mika's tendency to think out loud.

And apparently, Will also had a supportive wingwoman. Mika shared, "For example, sasabihin ko kay Xyriel [Manabat] or alam ni Xyriel na gusto ko 'yon, tapos ime-message niya kay Will." Talk about a top-tier girl's girl move—and if you ask us, that's exactly what friends are for. 🤭

ICYDK, Mika, Will, and Xyriel first met as housemates on Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition. They later reunited as co-stars in The Secrets of Hotel 88, which premiered earlier this year.

Looking back, Will has dropped several hints about how much he admires Mika. During their PBB days, he once shared that he hoped to stay close to her even after their time in the house.

"[Magko-confess] ako kay Mika kasi kilala ko siya sa social media lang. Siguro ang iko-confess ko sa kanya is 'I wanna be friends with you more kahit sa labas.' Sobrang bumilib ako kung paano siya mag-isip, kung gaano siya ka-strong as a person, and kung gaano siya ka-understanding sa lahat ng bagay," he said.

And his feelings became even harder to miss in Mika's "WILL you lie?" vlog in August 2025. When asked who among the housemates fit his type, Will answered, "Ikaw," while referring to Mika. The polygraph examiner later confirmed that he was telling the truth. (Omg!!)

Mika, meanwhile, seemed too shy to read too much into it at that time. "Ano lang naman yun... Kumbaga, pagkakagusto sa someone is paghanga lang naman," she said.

Earlier this year, Will also spoke about their relationship after winning Best Supporting Actor at the 9th EDDYS for his performance in Bar Boys: After School. Speaking to ABS-CBN, he reflected on how their friendship had grown over time.

"Kami, we're good po, we're good. Na-enjoy namin yung company ng isa't isa. Sobrang naging close kami, lalo na nung nag-lock in kami sa Hotel 88. Kaya na-build namin yung strong foundation sa kung ano man relationship namin." He also shared that he would love to work with Mika again in the future.

Going back to Mika's latest vlog, it seems there's no bad blood between the two despite what happened last year. Will even admitted that he was ultimately grateful for how things turned out. "Pero again, we are grateful na that happened last year…But look at us now!"

And Mika was on the same page, quickly adding, "Look at us now, we're stronger."

Their honesty about their feelings seems to have brought them even closer. And whether fans are rooting for their friendship or something more, one thing's for sure: Mika and Will look genuinely happy together, and people can't get enough of it.
