Winwyn said, “Due to my work commitments and upcoming projects with my current network, I will not be able to join BBP since I have an existing contract and projects lined up.”
The actress further clarified that due to the nature of the competition, Binibining Pilipinas has strict rules that contestants cannot have existing contracts when joining.
Winwyn continued, “There will always be a part of me that wants to compete in the pageant setting, at masakit din sa akin na hindi ako makakasali pero alam ko na hindi puwede sabay sabay ang lahat ng bagay.”
“I’ve been very fortunate to share my passion for competing in the pageant world and represent our country the best way I can. I am so grateful to contribute in bringing home a crown since that’s not an easy thing to do,” Winwyn added.
For now, Winwyn said that she is going to focus on improving her craft and will continue building on her community engagement program for children in local communities.
Winwyn is most notable for winning the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant in 2017 and is the first ever Asian to win the crown since the pageant began in 1991.
