Yassi Pressman has always celebrated her birth month in a different way.
In a series of Instagram posts, she shared how she and her sister Issa Pressman volunteered for Brigada Eskwela, a project by the Department of Education (DepEd) which helps clean and prepare classrooms for the incoming school year.
Yassi, Issa, along with their friends from a non-profit organization for children, not only scrubbed classrooms in Navotas clean but also painted and varnished walls and chairs to give the school a fresh new look.
"Yay for May! My birth month is always for giving back, thanks to my amazing friends who helped us today!" Yassi shared.
Yassi shared how tiring the activity was, but also how rewarding it was to imagine the students' happiness when they start going back to school on Monday and see their clean and freshly repainted classrooms.
Yassi turned 24 last May 11.
In February, Yassi released a song called "Sa Wakas" and in March launched her book Yass To Happiness, Living Life With Love, Light, And Laughter. In early May, she released a vlog about her solo trip to El Nido.
