Marry My Husband star Song Ha Yoon is caught up in bullying accusations.

On April 1, 2024, a South Korean current affairs program called Crime Chief released an exposé on an alleged rising actress who was involved in a school bullying incident 20 years ago. In their report made by an informant, the actress was referred to as "S." Despite it being released on April 1st, which coincides with "April Fools' Day," the report was not in any way humorous.

The report described the actress as someone who once played a villain role. K-netizens began to speculate that the actress in question was actually Song Ha Yoon. King Kong by Starship, the Marry My Husband star's agency, refuted the allegations made by the show's informant.

As Soompi translated, their statement read, "After checking the truth with the actress regarding the claims made by the informant, we confirmed that all the relevant information is not true and that the informant is a complete stranger to her."

According to King Kong by Starship, they have cleared the issue with Ha Yoon. But prior to that, they had already requested a virtual meeting with the informant. However, they did not receive an amicable response to their queries.

They furthered, "Currently, the informant’s unilateral claims are causing indiscriminate speculation and presumptions to spread. We earnestly ask that you refrain from speculative reports and unconfirmed truths regarding this."

Song Ha Yoon's school record revealed

Following reports on Ha Yoon's past school life, King Kong by Starship released another comment about their talent's pre-debut life. According to their April 2, 2024 statement, the mentioned that Ha Yoon was "forcibly transferred" from Banpo High School due to a school violence-related case.

However, they strongly clarified that the referred case which led to a forced transfer of schools for the actress had nothing to do with the report by Crime Chief. "This matter has nothing to do with the Crime Chief report. [Song Ha Yoon] does not know the informant at all."

They added that they plan to explain more details about Ha Yoon's past bullying record in the future. "We did not bring up her forced transfer record as it was not related to this issue. It will be explained when the time comes," the agency stated.
