Twentysomething Fired Before Her 1st Day At Work For A Single Facebook Post

Kaitlyn Wells posted that she hates working with kids before starting at a daycare.

It's not unusual to take a job that might not be your dream job but can hold you over until you find the perfect gig. That's what single mom Kaitlyn Walls did—until complaining about it got her fired before day one.

CBS Dallas-Fort Worth reports that Walls, 27, was about to start a job at a daycare center when she posted about it on Facebook. "I start my new job today, but I absolutely hate working at daycares," she wrote. "Lol its all good, I just really hate being around a lot of kids."

The public post went viral after it was posted in groups around the area. Trolls descended on her, calling her dumb. And then her new employer found the post, called her, and told her she didn't need to come in.

Walls took the post down and then wrote that she felt like a "failure" after the post went viral. "I'm afraid that I'm not going to be able to find a job because of my own stupidity."

She's now looking for another job to help support her daughter. And once she finds one, she'll have learned to keep her comments to herself.
