The United Arab Emirates Launches Multiple-Entry Visas For All Tourists

The UAE is aiming to become a major global tourist destination.

On January 6, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) introduced a multiple-entry tourist visa scheme for all nationalities that is valid for five years.

According to a report from the Manila Bulletin, the move aims to turn the country into a tourism hub.

On Twitter, the UAE’s Dubai Media Office posted: “@HHShkMohd, approves new amendment for tourist visas in #UAE. The new tourist visa will be valid for five years and can be used for multiple entries and is open to all nationalities.” 

The tweet mentioned Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE’s prime minister and ruler of Dubai.

In a tweet on January 6, Sheikh Mohammed said that the country receives 21 million tourists per year. He added, “Our aim is to establish the country as a major global tourist destination.”
