Valentine's Day Guide For SINGLE GIRLS: 6 Fun Things To Try

Who says V-Day is just for couples? Stop feeling bitter and enjoy the day, whether on your own or with gal pals. See Cosmo's list.

Hey, sexy, single Cosmo chick! You don't have to feel bad about being single this time of the year! You know you can have as much fun on Valentine's Day as any coupled-up chick--or as you would on any day you choose! If you haven't made your Single Girl's Fab V-Day plans yet, here we are plotting it for you. Check out our list of activities you can do alone or with friends, not just to get your mind off your current relationship status, but also to make you feel hotter, sexier, and more fun and fearless! Besides, the feel-good vibes you get from these activities just might help you attract a date sooner than you expect!

1. Try a new workout. We've heard celebs like our January 2011 cover girl Anne Curtis rave about this cool new workout called Barre3. It's a combination of yoga, Pilates, and ballet, which helps you improve your posture and--wait for it--lose inches around your waist, hips, thighs, and upper arms! Check out their website or call the nearest branch of The Spa (Alabang, 02-8363184; The Fort, 02-4035994; Rockwell, 02-4707878; and Eastwood, 02-7096868 or 7097878). Date or no date, you owe it to yourself to get fit and fab this month!

2. Get a one-of-a-kind pampering treatment. There's nothing like a visit to the spa to melt away your stress from work and bitterness about V-Day. This month, why don't you try something new? If you're into body scrubs, here's an interesting twist: Take a dip into Zenyu Ecospa's fish spa jacuzzi at Hotel H2O in Manila. It's the first of its kind here in the country! This service allows you to take a dip (yes, your whole body, and not just your feet!) into a pool of doctor fish that'll help get rid of dead skin cells, to reveal smoother, younger-looking skin. You can get it for free if you avail of any Zenyu Ecospa specialty massage, such as deep tissue massage, Hawaiian lomi, Swedish massage, shiatsu, combination stretching, and classic massage, all for just P672. You can also try lying on the hotbed for 30 minutes for P390. Unlike steam rooms and saunas, the hotbed won't leave you sweaty afterwards. Instead, you'd feel so refreshed, as if you just got out of a shower! How's that for a cool new treat? View the gallery to see how it goes.

3. Watch a  fun concert...and indulge the Korean boyband fan in you! You may not understand a word of their songs, but they're yummy eye candy and are fun to listen to anyway. Catch Super Junior on February 26 at the Araneta Coliseum once again (yes, they're back, less than a year after their 2010 hit concert in Manila), brought to you by shoe brand Sanuk. Don't forget to bring your Korean pop-crazy girlfriends along with you!

4. Go to a school fair! You're never too old to attend a college fair, especially if it's the infamous UP Fair, which will be held at the UP Diliman Sunken Garden on February 15 to 19. It's actually a big rock event, graced by some of your favorite Pinoy bands. Gather a group of close guy and girl friends (or your college barkada), and sing along to your favorite OPM rock hits as you indulge in your favorite street food like isaw and kwek-kwek. This is one fun gimik that doesn't involve spending much or getting all dressed up. For tickets, band schedules, and other inquiries, check out UP Fair 2011's Facebook page.

5. Go on a laidback single girls' night out. Take a break from the usual clubbing scene, and enjoy fun conversations over wine with your barkada at a posh wine bar like Blu Frog in Ortigas Home Depot and Frontera Verde's Silvercity. You can order a bottle of wine or any other liquor for your group for around P800 to P4,000, and then pair it with Blufrog's delightfully sumptuous dishes. View the gallery to see Blufrog's interiors.

6. Embrace your sexuality! Celebrate your womanhood and check out Puerta, a photo exhibit that fearlessly explores the many sides and aspects of female sexuality. This is the first solo exhibit of Mitch Maurici0, one of Cosmo.ph's fave photographers. It opens on February 12, 7PM, as the Valentine's Day exhibit of Pablo Gallery in Cubao X.
