This Is The Real Reason Brides Throw Their Bouquets

And it's kinda weird...

So far this year we've discovered a fair few things about weddings including; the reason bridesmaids wear the same dresseswhat the meaning of a bridal veil is and now we're about to tell you exactly why we all jump around like crazy trying to catch the wedding bouquet.

These days, wedding guests leap after falling flowers because we believe it means that'll make us the next person to get married. We say believe, but it's probably more hope than real confidence in the outcome.

Anyway, the tradition comes from back in the day in England when guests believed that grabbing a piece of the bride would bring them luck. This meant guests would physically try to rip off pieces of the bride's dress—yes, really—or try to grab at the flowers in her hands.

Traditionally, the bride only threw the bouquet to try to distract the flock of weirdos ripping at her oh-so-special wedding dress. And who can blame her? Imagine if that happened today when wedding dresses cost A LOT? We doubt that kind of sabotage could ever bring you good luck.
