The Department of Tourism (DOT) is calling for volunteers for the ongoing Southeast Asian (SEA) Games in Clark and Subic. In a Facebook post yesterday, the DOT said they are looking for Sports Liaison Officers (SLO) who are at least 21 years old, familiar with the area, and “emotionally mature.”
The job is to guide the athletes around the area, make sure they get to where they need to be, and help with their needs.
The DOT said it’s the “hardest” type of volunteering. “There is no maximum eight- or 10-hour shift. SLOs are expected to accompany the teams as needed. We need people who’ll show up even after three days of [full schedules] and heavy tasks.”
The volunteers will be compensated with P800 daily allowance, meals, P2P transpo, and uniforms. Volunteers are expected to take care of their own accommodations.
Those interested can email their personal details to firstname.lastname@example.org and SEAG2019.DOT@gmail.com.
