A Transgender Woman Has Been Found Dead In A River In Caloocan

On September 29, 2020, the body of transgender woman Donna Nierra was found in a river in Caloocan City. She was 23 years old. 

According to the initial investigation, a witness saw Donna's body floating along the river in Barangay 176 in Bagong Silang and reported it to the authorities.

Her father, Ricky Nierra, said that Donna left their house on Saturday, September 26, and never returned. 

The hashtag #JusticeForDonnaNierra started trending on Twitter, with the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies calling for justice for Donna's death.
