Why Bela Padilla And Her Boyfriend Norman Bay Called It Quits After 4 Years

ICYDK, Bela Padilla is officially back in the Philippines after living in London for five years. But with her return comes the closing of certain chapters, including one involving her long-time partner, Norman Bay.

During a press conference for her upcoming film 100 Awit Para Kay Stella, Bela confirmed that she and Norman have gone their separate ways. While the split was mutual, she admitted that one major reason was her decision to move back home.

"Definitely one of the biggest factors was me, moving back. Hindi rin naman kami magkasama. Nasa London ako, nasa Switzerland siya,” she shared.

“So, parang nahirapan na rin ako. Although the distance is shorter, it's still a long-distance [relationship],” she added.

Despite parting ways, Bela revealed they remain on good terms. In fact, Norman even visited her in the Philippines while she was filming 100 Awit Para Kay Stella.

Bela and Norman have been in a long-distance relationship for most of the years they have been exclusively dating. While Bela was staying in London, Norman was based in Switzerland. But they usually make time for each other during their travels, which are mostly posted on Instagram. 

Speculation about their split began circulating online when Bela joined the "So who takes care of you?" trend on TikTok—a clip often associated with independent women who look after themselves, typically because they’re single.

Still, Bela isn’t ruling out the possibility of finding love again. 

"Siguro after I finished the promo for 100 Awit Para kay Stella, why not? I love falling in love. I don't think there's anything wrong with that," she said with a laugh during the same interview.

"Kaso, hindi na ako marunong mag-date ng 2025," she joked.
