Second time truly does get sweeter when you are with the right person. As Leila Alcasid and her husband, Mito Fabie, continue to grow in their relationship, they chose to celebrate it with a second wedding ceremony this year, first in Australia and now in the Philippines.

Their most recent wedding was held at Pinto Art Museum in Antipolo, where they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. The same love that defined their first wedding in Australia was clearly carried through, making the celebration just as meaningful and heartfelt.

Leila wore an off-the-shoulder silk gown by Vania Romoff, featuring subtle pleats on the skirt that gave it a classic yet relaxed look. Mito, meanwhile, wore a barong by Kelvin Morales, which stood out for the doodles woven into it.

Even if they were doing it for the second time around, the moment felt just as special and overflowing with love as the first.

"I have never felt such an overflow of love in my life, thank you to everybody who celebrated with us," Leila wrote.

Proud father of the bride, Ogie Alcasid, also took a moment to honor Leila and Mito's relationship. He shared words of wisdom for the couple as they continue to grow together as husband and wife and navigate life's challenges side by side.

"To make mistakes as a couple, as parents, when you make your decisions—we learn in life after making the mistakes... To fail or to lose-this is how you win in life," Ogie said.

He emphasized that life will bring many challenges, encouraging the couple to keep moving forward, noting that the "peaks and valleys" are what make life exciting.

"To keep fighting for your love for one another, most especially during the times that you can't stand each other—it is all worth it... To forgive one another and to ask for forgiveness. This, to me, is the secret to a great marriage," he added.

ICYDK, Leila and Mito have been in a relationship for six years—they've been together since 2019! While Ogie has been openly accepting of their relationship, he initially disapproved of their decision to live together before marriage.

"I told her, 'I didn't like what you did. Because it's something that I wish you [had] talked to me about before. But that's already done. Nandiyan na 'yan,'" Ogie said in an interview.

Despite this, he has remained supportive of Leila and continues to share a strong and loving father-daughter relationship with her. This was clearly evident during her first wedding ceremony, where Ogie and Leila's stepfather walked her down the aisle together, a moment Ogie described as "fatherhood." The gesture served as a meaningful affirmation of how both families embraced and celebrated their blended family dynamic.
