With the weather being mainit and dry one minute then stormy and cold the next, the changes can actually damage your hair and cause it to be dry and frizzy. Two products that claim to tame strands, whatever the weather is, are the Cream Silk Treatment Creme Ultimate and the Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap. These two hair treatments are infused with potent ingredients to be able to repair damage within your follicles.
To find out if it can indeed do that, we tasked one member of Cosmopolitan Philippines' to try it out.
Name: Mixi Ignacio
Products tested: Cream Silk Treatment Creme Ultimate Repair & Shine, Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap Ultimate Repaire & Shine
Hair Type: Dry, damaged, and colored
Haircare Routine: I shampoo my hair every day and use a hair serum three times a week.
What are the Cream Silk Treatment Creme and Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap?
Cream Silk's Treatment Creme is a hair mask that comes in two variants: Ultimate Repair & Shine and Ultimate Straight. On the other hand, Ultra Treatment Wrap is a hair treatment wrap (which looks like a hot oil treatment), and it comes in the Ultimate Repair & Shine and Ultimate Straight variants.
Physically, both are two different kinds of products but they offer the same endgoal: to give the user smoother, sleeker, healthier, and shinier hair. Both of them contain three types of keratin products to make the hair more manageable. They are recommended to be used at least once a week.
The Cream Silk Treatment Creme Ultimate Repair & Shine costs P190 for 200ml, while the Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap Ultimate Repair & Shine costs P200 for 25ml.
Where to buy
Both Cream Silk products have intense sweet, fruity notes. When I applied them on my hair, the scent was still overpowering. I was pleased when I washed them off, my mane smelled super mabango AND the scent lasted the whole day!
The Cream Silk Treatment Creme was thick and goopy, like a heavy moisturizer or balm-cream. It glided smoothly over my hair and wasn't hard to rinse; it didn't leave any oily residue on my strands. The hair product inside the Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap had the same texture as the Creme!

How to use it:
Cream Silk Treatment Creme Ultimate Repair & Shine
- After shampooing your hair, scoop a handful of the Treatment Creme and apply it all over your mane.
- Massage the product in, concentrating on the ends, until it has been absorbed by your wet hair.
- Leave it on for three minutes.
- Rinse your hair well after. Use it at least once a week for best results.
Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap Ultimate Repair & Shine
- After cleansing your hair with shampoo, take out the treatment wrap from the pack and gently unfold it. Be careful not to spill any of the product!
- Put on the wrap and tuck in the damp strands in. Adjust the wrap to ensure it's covering all of your hair.
- Use the sticker tape to secure the wrap around your head.
- Leave it on for 20 minutes.
- Remove wrap and massage the product to help hair absorb the excess.
- Rinse it well after. Use it at least once a week for best results.
When I had to review the two products, I tested the Cream Silk Treatment Creme Ultimate Repair & Shine first because I'm more familiar with using hair masks than hair wraps.
My first impressions of the Treatment Creme was that it looked mahal because of the gold and black packaging. I was a bit scared of how my hair would look after because the cream feels really thick and goopy; I thought I would end up with limp and oily locks.
After I rinsed the Treatment Creme off, I used a regular comb to fix my hair to see if it would easily glide through—and it did! I let my hair air-dry, and I was surprised at how fast my locks dried. Usually, whenever I use conditioner or any rich hair product, it takes a few hours for my whole head to dry because my hair is thick. My locks also felt super soft and lightweight. In the afternoon, my tresses became frizzy again, but when I ran my fingers through my hair, it looked great again. BTW, my locks remained soft throughout the day!
The following week, I decided to test the Ultra Treatment Wrap in the Ultimate Repair & Shine variant—my hair is so dry and damaged from all the coloring I've done so it really needed all the help it could get. Like with the Treatment Creme, I was nervous but excited to try this product out because it's the first time I've used anything like it. Let me just say, it was a STRUGGLE to wear the wrap. Since the cap was made out of plastic, it kept slipping off my head and at one point it even covered my eyes, haha!
Once I was able to finally make the wrap stay, I left it on for 20 minutes. My head got a little hot during the 20 minutes so there were times I had to fan myself, LOL. Once I rinsed it off, my hair was, again, softer and it felt lighter. I didn't see that much of a difference in my strands, as compared to when I used the Treatment Creme. The next day, when I washed my locks with only water, I was surprised to find they still felt soft and manageable. They smelled great, too! When I went to work the next day, even after I got sweaty, my tresses still stayed sleek and soft.
Are the Cream Silk Treatment Creme and Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap worth it?
As someone who rarely uses hair conditioner, yes! I was amazed at the effects of the treatments on my hair. I didn't think the difference was obvious until after I saw my before-and-after pictures, WOW.
Would I repurchase them again?
While I love both the Treatment Creme and Ultra Treatment Wrap, I'm leaning towards just repurchasing the Ultra Treatment Wrap. The results I got from it lasted longer (as in days) than the mask. Even when I didn't use any other hair product on my strands and just washed my mane with plain water, my locks still looked sleek and soft.
If you're looking for a product that can deliver fast results, the Cream Silk Treatment Creme is for you. I would recommend the Cream Silk Ultra Treatment Wrap to those who are constantly busy and don't often have time to properly wash and style their hair every day.
