Something that all of us *most probably* know how to do is wash our hair. I mean, it's pretty self-explanatory, right? Just squeeze some shampoo on your palm, work it into a rich lather, massage on your hair, rinse, and you're done, right?
But (and this is a BIG but), shampooing correctly can actually make a big impact in your hair's health and overall appearance. Hairdresser and Youtuber Brad Mondo uploaded a video titled "Hair Washing Hacks That Will Save Your Hair" and I was surprised that learned a lot of tips from the 18-minute video.
Some of the things he emphasized are the following:
- The correct water temperature for washing your hair. According to Brad, warm water is the way to go, even though cold water seems like the best choice for mornings when you need a pick-me-up.
- The right way you should massage your hair. Vigorous scrubbing is a big no-no, as it actually tangles your hair more.
- A high-foam shampoo isn't the best choice. He said you are *actually* cleaning your hair even when your shampoo doesn't have suds. (What?!)
He also answered the question that's always in the back of our minds whenever we shampoo our hair, "How much shampoo should you actually use?"
The answer: Just two five peso-sized amounts. It doesn't matter if you have long or short hair because you're supposed to be shampooing your *scalp* anyway and not really your actual hair strands.
