Lightweight Makeup Bases You Can Wear To Outdoor Weddings

Stay fresh and pretty!

I always look forward to beach and garden weddings. It's like taking a break in paradise while watching your two closest friends profess their eternal love to each other. And of course, I won't deny that I'll definitely be Instagramming the whole time. After, all I'm all dolled up in a nice dress and blessed with a picturesque backdrop.

But the lovely location comes with a price: I know that I'll melt because it's almost always summer weather in the Philippines. So out of need, I searched high and low for the best lightweight bases that will last even on hot days. (Ed's note: Always put on SPF before applying makeup! )

One-step wonders

This foundation's formula is pigmented AF, so you just need two dots for your whole face. And although it says "radiant" on the bottle, expect it to have a matte (yet not flat!), skin-like finish on your complexion.
Staying power: 16 hours

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation, Rustan's The Beauty Source

Now if you're looking for a breathable base that will stay on for a long period, then turn to Esteé Lauder's lighter version of their bestselling Double Wear foundation. It bestows a fresh and matte finish on the face—a major factor if you've got oily skin. Apply in sheer layers for a natural-looking effect.
Staying power: 24 hours

Esteé Lauder Doublewear Nude Water Fresh Makeup, SM Megamall

Envelope your face with a veil of lightness with this powder foundation that offers long-lasting coverage. It's great for those with oily, acne-prone, or sensitive skin.

Another combo to try is buffing a tinted moisturizer all over the face and just spot-concealing blemishes and dark circles. This pair feels lightweight to almost nothing on the skin.
