I confess: I'm a beauty editor, but I'm sometimes too lazy to put on full eye makeup. I guess this is true for everyone, right? I usually like to use colored liners and mascaras to fake a made-up look. But recently, I had an "Aha!" moment while I was rummaging through my vanity table.
I needed to head out the door ASAP for a brunch event. I already nailed my face and brow routine, so the only thing missing was defining my chinita eyes. I spotted a tiny bottle of liquid eyeshadow and figured it wouldn't be messy to apply because of its doe-foot applicator; precision wasn't important. I proceeded with caution.
It was godsent! It was heavenly to spread on the lids, and I barely needed to blend. It set quickly, so it didn't feel sticky. The color stayed on all day, too!
Apart from liquid eyeshadows being foolproof, you should also consider that they're having their moment: Glossier launched their version, Lidstar, which got beauty junkies all over the world stoked. Beyonce wore it first, NBD!
For local flavor, Anne Curtis included it in BLK's K-beauty collection. After all, liquid shadows have been popular in Korea for years.
So please, give liquid eyeshadow a chance—you'll never have to worry about looking snatched on special occasions anymore.
