Admit it: Sometimes, you hate going outside because you think your makeup will instantly melt when it comes into contact with our hot AF weather. But with these tips on how to make sure every bit of your makeup stays put, you'll no longer have to worry about your face disappearing into a puddle of cosmetics!
1. Use a primer
Love it or hate it, this is a MUST during summer. Primers not only prep your skin for foundation or whatever base you're putting on, it helps hold it in place, too.

2. Build your makeup in layers
While lightweight is the way to go during warmer months, if you love a full coverage look, build your makeup in ~layers~ to avoid a cakey finish. For example, put black eyeshadow on top of your liquid or gel liner; or use a tinted brow gel over your kilay; or even apply two or three layers of your go-to lipstick!

3. Use a mattifying makeup spray
When your whole face is done, go in with a mattifying makeup spray to lock your makeup in place. But don't use too much, though! You might end up doing more harm to your skin.

4. Gently blot your face
Now that your makeup is flawless, don't panic if you break a sweat or suddenly start getting oily in your T-zone! Just get a piece of tissue or a blotting sheet and gently—we repeat, GENTLY—dab on the areas you want to remove shine from. If you use "wiping" motions, you'll just be swiping your makeup around—and that's never a pretty look.
