Nadine Lustre Just Revealed Why She's Having A Few Of Her Tattoos Removed—And We Totally Get It

Getting a tattoo is often easier than deciding what to eat for dinner. But removing one? That’s a whole different story, especially since we rarely hear people talk about it. So if you’ve been thinking about getting your tattoo removed but feel a bit scared, don't be! Nadine Lustre just showed us how it's done and proved that choosing to remove a tattoo is totally valid.
Nadine Lustre Just Got Her Tattoos Removed
ICYDK, Nadine recently underwent an Aivee Picasso Laser treatment at The Aivee Clinic to have some of her tattoos removed. She chose to remove the thicker ones but decided to keep the thinner designs.
"Honestly, I super love my tattoos. It's just that I feel like they're already spreading too much," Nadine shared.
"The thing is, the kind of skin that I have, it stretches so fast for some reason. And the tattoos are starting to look bad just because it's all, ano na, parang nagbe-bleed na siya on the side," she explained.
In a TikTok video posted by The Aivee Clinic, Nadine can be seen getting her moon tattoo on her wrist, as well as the flower and heart tattoos on her fingers, removed. She also had her "Nakayapak at Nahihiwagaan" tattoo on her forearm treated.
According to Dr. Aivee Teo, full results can usually be achieved after six to ten sessions, depending on the size and thickness of the tattoo.
Nadine admitted that at first, she was nervous about the removal process, especially since the sensation can be quite startling. She described it as feeling like being snapped by a rubber band.
Despite that, Nadine shared that she's happy with her decision and even looks forward to getting new tattoos in the future, though she hasn’t decided what they'll be just yet.
"I'm just super happy that, you know, that there's a way to remove them. It's kind of like getting it done again. You'll kind of get used to it," the actress said.
"I haven't thought of any new tattoos yet. But definitely, I'm gonna get more. And I'll make sure that they look like this [pointing to her lotus tattoo]," she added.
In a 2021 YouTube video posted by Dr. Aivee, Nadine revealed that she has around 12 tattoos in total at the time, each with deep personal meaning behind it.
