When Angelica Panganiban made her relationship with non-celebrity boyfriend Gregg Homan Instagram-official last January 2021, she was flooded with congratulations from fans and friends. Despite the well wishes, however, she admitted that there was a point when she thought of keeping everything private from the public.
"Wala din namang intention na i-broadcast din. Siyempre, dumating na rin ako sa point na gusto mong maging yung private e' sana manatiling private na lang kasi minsan hindi mo nakikita yung point tapos mas gumugulo kapag mas marami ng nakikisawsaw na mga tao," she shared with Push.com during a press con for her newest show.
According to her, she wanted to keep everything under wraps out of respect to her newest beau who isn't part of the showbiz community. "Kaya lang, artista ako sa mahirap din naman na ipagdamot yun sa mga tao."
Fortunately, Gregg didn't seem to have any problems adjusting to her celebrity status. In fact, Angelica shared that he only gets mildly shocked when fans approach her every time they are together.
"Kung kilala niyo din naman ako, sobrang simple ko din na tao. May mga panahon lang na nagugulat pa rin siya pag may biglang lumalapit sa akin."
As to how their love story started, Angelica shared that she really took it slow before making things official with Gregg. "...Go with the flow lang," the 34-year-old actress, whose past high profile relationships have always been under the spotlight, shared. "Parang mami-miss mo pala yung ganitong pakiramdam. Siguro lakas ng loob. Tapang lang talaga, at paniniwala sa sarili na parang kaya mo yan."
She added, "May mga napagdaanan ka, masasaktan ka ulit, ganun talaga. So might as well gawin mo na lang din."
