One of the people who knows how to be there for Barbie Forteza during her toughest days is her close friend, Bianca Umali. The two have been friends for years, and it seems like Bianca already knows when Barbie needs a little extra love.

During Yani Villarosa's latest vlog, "sunday reset in a.bode," Barbie opened up about how Bianca checks in on her whenever she senses that something is wrong.

"Si Bianca Umali, isa sa mga closest friends ko 'yan. Pag yan nakaramdam na may pinagdadaanan ako, 'Huy halika, gagawan kita ng matcha' or 'Book day tayo,'" Barbie said, remembering the messages Bianca would send her.

Bianca doesn't necessarily expect Barbie to open up right away. Instead, she finds little ways to let her know that she's there. Definitely besties! 🥺

Of course, Barbie appreciates these little things. But she knows that when she's going through something, she usually needs a little time alone before she's ready to see people or talk about what happened.

"Pag sinabi ko sa kanya na, 'O, sige, sige. Planuhin natin 'yan,' ibig sabihin nun, I want to see you, pero wait lang." It's Barbie's way of asking for space without completely shutting out the people she loves. She knows she'll eventually want to reconnect—she just needs to process her feelings first.

And Barbie has also come to understand that solitude is simply part of how she handles difficult moments. "Mas solitude ang aking way of coping, healing, to compartmentalize my thoughts."

Barbie Is Selective About Who She Opens Up To

Barbie’s preference for spending time alone when she's hurting may also be connected to how she approaches vulnerability. While she's known for being bubbly and energetic, she suggested that she's selective about who gets to see her when she’s feeling vulnerable.

"As a Leo, piling-pili yung mga taong pinapakitaan ko ng weakness ko talaga." She added, "For some reason, yung friends ko, I want them to see me happy na." For Barbie, being cheerful seems to be both natural and where she feels most comfortable. So when she’s struggling, she’s selective about who she opens up to.

She also added, "Hindi man ako nag-open up agad sa kanila, pero nararamdaman nila eh. Pag tahimik ako, pag hindi ako nagpaparamdam sa kanila, sila yung nagme-message."

When she does need someone to talk things through with, she knows exactly who to call. Her first choice during a heartbreak is her older sister, who's seven years older than her. "When I am going through a heartbreak, I don't go straight to my friends. I go straight to my sister because I feel like she's my safe place," she said.

Her sister has always been a role model for Barbie, so it makes sense that she's the person Barbie trusts when she needs advice or a different perspective. "[I've been] looking up to her all my life. I feel like she's got it all figured out. And even she has all the solutions to my problems, parang ganon. Ganon ko siya ka-idol."

And while the sisters have a long-distance relationship, their closeness never dwindled. She shared, "Kahit nasa Chicago na siya, sobra-sobrang close namin, and lagi kaming nag-uusap."

Even when Barbie needs time alone to process her feelings, she knows she's never really alone. Most importantly, she knows she has the right people who will always have her back.
